Port Wipe Out IPA. This is in my tops 3 San Diego West Coast IPA. Sounds like a fucking hardcore subgenre, xSDWCIPAx, but this city knows how to make them brutal. Perfect amount of carbonation, just enough bite, but doesn’t blow yr. tongue off like a Green Flash (not that that is a bad thing all the time). 7% means easy drinking. Wheat/grassy in smell but all hops and citrus in taste. Two reasons why this isn’t my favorite IPA. 1. No six pack option. 2. Not one distinguished hop takes control (unlike say Odell’s IPA). Overall one of my favorites.
