Alaskan 25th Perseverance Russian Imperial Stout. Black as tar, very smooth with a minut amount of head. When cold it taste like a well balanced RIS. Once it warms up everything comes out. Local flavors apparently include “Alaskan birch syrup from Wasilla” and “firewood honey from Delta Junction. No idea where the Delta Junction or Wasilla are but these ingredients add tart and sweet notes. Extremely good beer. Planning on grabbing a couple to age cause once these are gone they gone. 9.5%
